Stuff like &#8220;visit Japan&#8221; or &#8220;learn the guitar&#8221; usually find a home here. However, just like we do Spring cleaning we have to cull this list, lest the emotional weight of these uncompleted tasks wear on us. If we&#8217;re not careful, this list can be a graveyard of lofty and unachievable tasks. David Caolo at The Unclutterer offers a solution:</p>

<p>One a recent browse through Etsy, I recently came across these awesome graphic Furoshiki cloths by The Link Collective, two friends who live on opposite ends of the globe and collaborate on textile designs using traditional japanese production methods. In case you’re unfamiliar with Furoshiki, here’s a brief description of their take on it:</p>

<p>When the design consultancy group Antrepo analyzed the logos and typography of these vintage cameras, they were struck by the line-based logos and extended-outline fonts that designers utilized for the majority of these products. The switch to the “less-bold” typefaces presumably cut down on production costs.</p>

<p>It has been a while since my last roundup, so buckle up. For those interested, I recently moved 4322.8 km (2686.06 miles) from my home in Japan to my new home in Vietnam. After nine wonderful years in Japan, it was time to move on. The other day I read an interview with my friend and too-infrequent chess partner, Oliver Reichenstein, who pretty much describes my own feelings on reaching Japan.<br />

<p>With work spanning illustrations on Japanese chocolate wrappers to quilts with whimsical characters in the new W Paris Opera hotel, East London-based designer and illustrator Emily Alston (AKA Emily Forgot) explores every facet of her craft. After recently reconnecting with her work at her latest showing, the first in a series&#8212;The Forgotten Hall of Fame&#8212;created for a night called "Form" at The Aviator Hotel by Tag, we caught up with the designer to talk about illustrating, inspiration and creating uniquely individual projects.</p>
